Crossover from your current agency and start teaching with RAID's modern, performance-based system. Align standards, onboard to the digital platform, polish demo-quality skills, and finish ready to register students and issue e-certs.
At Hydronauts, the RAID Instructor Crossover is a focused 2–3 day program built around standards alignment, digital onboarding, and demo-quality teaching skills. You'll map your current ratings to RAID, set up on the digital platform, and refine presentations, briefings, and in-water demos with personal mentorship from our Instructor Trainer Rafa.
From classroom standards and QA to confined-water demos and simple open-water teaching scenarios, every step is practical and to the point. You'll finish ready to register students, teach courses the RAID way, and issue e-certs.
Pre-Course Orientation
You'll complete a focused orientation – onsite or via live video – where we'll set up your RAID instructor account, upload documents, and show you the digital platform. You'll get a short reading list and we'll note which specialties you want to carry across.
Day 1 — Standards & Digital Setup
- Build your instructor profile on the RAID digital platform.
- Align on RAID standards, QA, and course flow
- Learn the full e-certification workflow
- Begin specialty mapping (your existing ratings → RAID equivalents)
Days 2–3 — Teaching Presentations & Skill Demos
- Run short academic presentations with coached feedback
- Practice RAID skill demonstrations in our dedicated training pool
- Align with RAID performance criteria so demos are tidy, repeatable, and easy to assess
- Finalize specialty mapping
- Complete digital workflow practice: set up real courses, register students, manage rosters, issue e-certs.
- Personal mentorship – Work directly with our Instructor Trainer Rafa throughout the crossover. You'll get clear, actionable feedback on standards, presentations, and demo quality, not generic theory.
- Small, focused format – We keep numbers tight so you have time to run multiple micro-teaches and demos with coached iterations. You leave with habits that are tidy and repeatable.
- Smart specialty mapping – We review your current ratings, transfer what fits, and outline quick add-on workshops (e.g., Nitrox, Deep 40) if you want to extend your teaching set.
- Facilities that help you teach – Beachfront base, on-site training pool, and quality gear make classroom-to-pool transitions fast, so more time goes into coaching and less into logistics.
- Support after sign-off – When you launch your first RAID courses, we're still there: quick answers, practical tips, and mentorship to keep your teaching smooth from day one.
